Mahoning Valley Safety Council: Establishing an Efficient Safety Committee

Establishing and Maintaining an Efficient Safety Committee

A strong safety committee is a cornerstone of an effective workplace safety program. Join the Mahoning Valley Safety Council for an informative session led by Victor Rossi, Owner and Lead Trainer of Job Safety First, as he shares practical guidance on building and sustaining a safety committee that truly makes an impact.

This presentation will explore the importance of having a safety committee and how to select the right employees to serve on it. Attendees will learn what training committee members should receive, why regular meetings and accurate recordkeeping matter, and how safety committees play a critical role in accident investigations and shared responsibility for workplace safety.

With more than 25 years of experience in hands-on, on-the-job safety training, Victor brings real-world insight to the discussion. As an OSHA-authorized instructor for the OSHA 10- and 30-Hour General Industry courses, he has helped companies and technical schools strengthen safety practices, improve compliance, and create safer work environments.

This session is ideal for safety leaders, supervisors, HR professionals, and anyone involved in developing or supporting workplace safety initiatives.
