Calling all mayors, administrators, city council members, trustees and appointed local government employees: The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber is excited to launch the Local Government Leadership Academy.
This four-month program includes four sessions designed to help elected and appointed public officials strengthen their knowledge, skills and connections to better serve their communities.
The academy will feature speakers addressing issues essential to effective local government, including representatives from the Ohio Auditor’s and Attorney General’s offices. Topics include:
• Ethics
• Budget Requests and Advocacy
• Efficient and Secure Government
• Records Management and Sunshine Laws
Each session also will include regionally focused courses such as regional collaboration and common obstacles.
The registration fee covers all four sessions. Attendance is required for all four dates to receive the certificate: Dec. 5, Jan. 9, Feb. 6 and March 6.
