2026 Washington D.C. Fly-In
Event Details
Each year, business and community leaders from the Mahoning Valley travel to Washington, D.C. to advocate for the policies, investments, and initiatives that support long-term economic growth and regional vitality. The D.C. Fly-In provides an opportunity for regional stakeholders to meet directly with members of Congress, federal agencies, and national partners to discuss priorities that impact businesses, workforce development, infrastructure, and the overall quality of life in the Valley.
During the two-day program, participants engage in briefings, policy discussions, and strategic meetings designed to elevate the region’s voice at the federal level. The Fly-In also fosters collaboration among local leaders, strengthening a unified approach to advancing the Mahoning Valley’s interests in the nation’s capital.
Key areas of focus typically include federal funding opportunities, infrastructure and economic development initiatives, workforce and industry support, and other public policy priorities identified by the region’s business community and civic partners. Through these conversations, the delegation works to secure resources, strengthen partnerships, and ensure that the Valley remains competitive and positioned for future growth.
The D.C. Fly-In continues to be an important platform for advocacy, relationship-building, and collective leadership, allowing the Mahoning Valley to present a unified voice on the issues that matter most to the region’s future.
